The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica (AmCham Jamaica) has officially opened nominations for its Business & Civic Leadership and Corporate Social Responsibility Awards, ahead of the organisation's flagship 40th Anniversary Gala scheduled for May 27, 2026, at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston.

Nominations will be accepted from March 30, 2026 through Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The awards recognise outstanding achievement across two categories: the AmCham Jamaica Award of Excellence for Civic Leadership, open to large and small organisations, non-profits, and foundations; and the AmCham Jamaica Award of Excellence for Corporate Social Responsibility, open to large and small organisations.

The Gala, which marks four decades of AmCham Jamaica's contribution to strengthening trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Jamaica and the United States, will also feature the presentation of the prestigious Eagle of the Americas Award to the Office of International Disaster Recovery in the United States Department of State, in recognition of its relief and restoration efforts following Hurricane Melissa.

AmCham Jamaica President Ann-Dawn Young Sang said the opening of nominations marks the beginning of what promises to be a landmark moment in the organisation's history.

"This Gala is not simply a celebration of AmCham Jamaica, it is a celebration of forty years of partnership, resilience, and shared investment in Jamaica's future," said Young Sang.

“We invite the public and our members to help us recognize and celebrate the individuals and organizations who consistently and courageously contribute to making Jamaica stronger. Submitting nominations is the first and most important step in this process.”

The awards programme, which aims to recognise excellence, encourage corporate social responsibility, and foster business networking, is open to AmCham Jamaica members and non-members alike.

The deadline for nominations is May 6, 2026.
