International recording artiste Sean Paul is once again stepping up for his homeland as Jamaica recovers from the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. The powerful storm has displaced families, destroyed homes, and left communities across the island in urgent need of assistance.

Through the Sean Paul Foundation, the artiste has partnered with Food For The Poor Jamaica to deliver direct relief to those affected. This collaboration continues a long-standing relationship, as Sean Paul has previously supported the organisation in providing food, essential supplies, and emergency aid to vulnerable communities across Jamaica.

“Right now, my island of Jamaica is going through a really tough time,” Sean Paul said.

“Hurricane Melissa has caused serious damage - families displaced, homes destroyed, and communities struggling to recover. Through the Sean Paul Foundation, we’re bringing relief to those who need it most. I’m asking all my fans, friends, and supporters worldwide, if you can, please give what you can. Every donation counts, no matter how small. Together, we can make a big difference,” he continued.

Emphasising the importance for hands-on support, the Hold My Hand artiste, along with his family and team, is actively assisting with relief kit packing at the Food For The Poor headquarters. Over 1200 food and hygiene packages were put together on Thursday, October 30.

Marsha Burrell-Rose, Marketing, PR and Missions Manager at the Food For The Poor Jamaica, shared, “Once we heard that the hurricane was headed our way, we immediately began packaging and distributing relief supplies across the island. Jamaicans are resilient in times of disaster, but we truly need your continued support. We are especially grateful to have our ambassador Sean Paul, along with his family and team, on the ground assisting with packaging efforts.

Their presence reminds us what it means to truly build back the love for Jamaica – because that’s what we need right now: your love, your prayers, your donations, and your time. We will rebuild stronger, and we’re deeply thankful to everyone who has already contributed. Your five dollars may feel small to you, but to us, it means a million.”

To amplify the impact, Sean Paul will personally match every donation up to US$50,000.00, effectively doubling the support reaching families and communities in need.

Since launching the initiative, the campaign has already raised approximately US$20,000.00 in less than 24 hours, reflecting the overwhelming generosity of fans, fellow entertainers and supporters around the world who have responded to the call to help rebuild Jamaica.

Fans and supporters can continue to contribute through foodforthepoorja.org/seanpaulfoundation or via the link in Sean Paul’s Instagram [@duttypaul] bio.

Sean Paul’s initiative highlights the importance of global solidarity, encouraging fans, friends, and fellow artistes worldwide to stand together in supporting Jamaica during this challenging time.
